A Sunflower Bath Recipe for Winter Skin
I have a recipe I would like to share for those of us with “winter skin”.
1/4 cup shelled, raw, unsalted sunflower seeds
1/4 cup oatmeal (I use baby)
1/2 t. ground cinnamon
1/4 t. ground nutmeg
1/2 t. vitamin E oil
Grind the seeds and oatmeal in a coffee grinder till you get a very fine powder. Add spices and vitamin E oil and mix well. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the mixture into a warm bath and soak for about 20 minutes in the warm water. The sunflower seeds release their oils which are very moisturizing (AND it doesn’t get your tub slippery and slimy), and the oatmeal soothes, and of course vitamin E is great for the skin also. I think it is very relaxing and comforting after a long grueling day.
