It is the citric acid that makes the fizz and you don’t need a lot of it really. Just take a pinch of it and toss it in water and you will see how it will fizz all by itself. So I did some experimenting with different additions. This is the measurement that I have come up with. So far if you put these in jars, they become kinda firm, so you will have to loosen it up with a spoon or something, so I am just putting them in little bags and then inside a gusseted bag. This keeps the fragrance in much better.
1 cup Baking Soda
1 cup Epsom Salt
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1/2 cup Sea Salt -- a bit more if you want (finely ground)
2 to 3 Tbsp Dendritic Salt (for keeping fragrance longer and to help prevent caking)
Few drops Jojoba or Almond or any other light oil
1 to 2 tsp FO or EO of choice -- more if you like it stronger
These are just kinda guessing measurments. I still can’t get away from a dash of this and that, just like in cooking and I find that this recipe works wonderfully that way.
