Suzanne’s Recipe for California Sunset Soap

15 oz palm kernel oil
15 oz coconut oil
6 oz pomace olive oil
6 oz canola oil
16 oz water
6.4 oz lye
1 oz hemp seed oil added at trace

I scented this at trace with 2.5 oz COMBINED of orange eo and honey almond fo… a little heavier on the orange.

I separated a small amount of raw soap out into 2 containers… about a cup each.

I colored one with red oxide… the other with DC yellow #5.

I then added 3 tbls of annatto infused olive oil to the base batch (gives orange tint)… and then swirled in the red and yellow to look like a sunset. I used a 2 tined meat fork to swirl and when I swirled… I pour it high so the color sinks… then pour low and some stays on top… then drag the meat fork through it.
