Susan's Dog Soap

I just made this dog soap. I don’t have dogs so I guess after it cures I’ll be borrowing my friends’ dogs.

24 oz. vegetable shortening (Crisco)
16 oz. olive oil
16 oz. coconut oil
10 oz. emu oil
2 oz. avocado oil
10 drops tea tree oil
5 drops jojoba oil
ground lavender – to suit
ground chamomile – to suit
10 oz. lye
16 oz. water

Mix the lye solution, and heat the oils to 150°F… let sit for an hour. Then mix the oils and lye solution. When at trace add the tea tree and jojoba oils and the ground herbs. Pour into your mold, let set for 24 hours, or longer if still soft. Let cure for 4 weeks.
