Two Recipes for Eczema Treatment Soap
My aunt has severe eczema. I made some soap for her about a month ago, and it’s actually working! I made another batch this last weekend, similar to the first, but I expanded on it. (BTW, it seems that most of the things that are good for eczema are also good for psoriasis.)
First, the original recipe:
8 oz cocoa butter
7 oz olive oil
6 oz palm kernel oil
5 oz castor oil
3 oz shea butter
2 oz jojoba
1 oz stearic acid
4.3 oz lye
9 oz distilled water
2 tsp sea salt
At heavy trace, add:
2 oz goatmilk, 4x concentrated
10 vitamin E pills
4 evening primrose oil pills (1300 mg each)
1 oz jojoba
1 tsp lavender eo
And now the second one:
8 oz olive oil
6 oz cocoa butter
6 oz palm kernel oil
4 oz castor oil
3 oz grapeseed oil
2 oz jojoba
2 oz shea butter
1 oz stearic acid
4.3 oz lye
9 oz distilled water
2 tsp sea salt
2 tsp sugar
At heavy trace, add:
2 oz goatmilk, 4x concentrated
10 vitamin E pills
4 evening primrose oil pills (1300 mg each)
1 oz grapeseed oil
0.75 oz jojoba
1 tsp lavender eo
1.5 tsp tea tree oil
1 tsp bergamot eo
1 tsp sweet birch eo
handful of dried calendula petals
This second batch has been curing since Sunday night. (That’s another advantage of using the extra-heavy trace method — I poured the soap into the molds at about 7 pm, and unmolded them around 11 pm. After two days of curing, they are already at the point they would be after about 10 days with the standard method.)
